   Well, I`m slowly recovering my life...Moved into a little 1 bedroom house, mostly just me and Jayson, so 1 br is enough for now..So far, as far as Linux is concerned, I am still in catch-up mode..So much has happened in my absence...
   I am going to continue with PAW, at least to refine it and update any programs I see as necessary..I know a lot of people are into the "latest and greatest" but stability and integration are paramount with PAW, so many things will remain the same version, excepting the browser and some system stuff...
   I also know that the new lupu series, with access to the `butu repos, makes installing many of the elements of PAW a simple job...But things like Phatch, Blender, and the many patches in PAW, as well as the Python integration, are not..PAW serves a purpose, a niche, and I feel continuing it to be a wotrhy project..
I am reluctant to change the base of PAW, the 2.6.21.7 kernel has served fine, and the Puppy 4.12 core seems rock solid.. Of course, it is BigBass`s barebones 4.12 core, so one would expect no less...
I did build my own cores for PAW, using both unleashed and woof, but could never match BigBass for size and functionality, and if it works, use it..
I need to update the links for PAW, as they are blind / dead links at the moment...

Anyhow, been workin on pstreamvid by trio on PAW, to replace puptv..Got it working fine with gxine 0.5.11, IDK but I installed the 0.5.09 patch and now it works..LOL. .My Mplayer from SVN wouldnt work, but I wanted the GUI version anyhow, and retain the SVN as a Drag and Drop player, for which it excels, until I figure out what I want to do...I like mplayer, but 2 is 2 much.. Im converting the puptv scripts to text files for Trios program, but I dont know yet but that I might update PupTV a bit for PAW instead....It was, after all, my first GUI, and made it into an official Puppy...:-) Silly idea really, a GUI for something the CLI does so much better, but it is easy to use...I MISS Fox Japan so much, I hate to remove it...It was cool...I watched it for months...Japanese commercials are so funny...
I have to remember that PAW, unlike most of my stuff, isnt really intended as a "crossover" linux, and neednt be as "winuser" friendly, as I believe it appeals to more experienced Linux users more than "newbys" So perhaps as I go into RC-3 I can strip out a few things and simplify it a bit, streamline it..
I have remover the .wine folder to an SFS..They are great programs, but I dont like proprietary software, so it wont be in the "official" release, but the SFS will be available..That is why I do not include Opera in my releases now, though I love it and highly recommend it..And my Puppy Blues skin looks great on it...

Well, havnt gotten much done on the web today, darn real world anyhow..LOL
My 3 yr old son is sick and that overrules everything else..

Joined the Puppy Linux page on Facebook, and am already arguing with Otro Pogo...
Just like old times..LOL...Nice to be me again..instead of the mess I was turned into...

Well, after being gone for 6 months, I have a lot to remember. Like passwords..LOL.
Checked to see if PAW was still on Softpedia. It was, and I fixed the D/L link again.
I`m so glad Eric hadnt had to change anything..
Its first user review there gave it 5 stars :)
Version RC-3 is in the works, once I get up to speed...
I`m linking this blog to my profile on the forum, so from now on, who knows, someone could be reading this...Depending on how things go, it might need a parental warning...:)

Wed Feb 10th

Well, I have rejoined the Puppy Linux Forum, and intend this blog to be an extention of my involvement there. I have no idea how a blog works, and no readers.. I dont care..As time goes on I will eventually include this blog in my sig there for all to read..Better devide it up into G, PG and R.

ATM I am running (gasp) WindozeXP...I cant for the life of me get the Belkin wireless card I have in this laptop to stay locked on any other way..But just this laptop, my desktop is runnung Puppy 4.31 ATM and my teenage daughter (greenpenguinsrock on the forum) is MySpaceing out.. So I am on the laptop with stupid Windoze, and I cant do anything with my Puppy stuff...Grrr...

Me and greenpenguinsrock painted her room over the weekend...Lime green...With black trim and black "splatters" everywhere. Looks like a giant Rorschach test..I like it...

Well enough for now, back to getting the wireless card to work so I can get off of Windoze...
